Pixmania is giving professional merchants the possibility to sell their new or second-hand products via the Pixmania.com website. It works more or less like Amazon’s Marketplace. They have branded the solution PixPlace. The picture below briefly explains how it works:

PixPlace will soon open sites for other European countries. With PixPlace, Pixmania probably wants to leverage their current reach in Europe. According to them, the following should persuade merchants:
- immediate access to an existing customer base of 6 million clients
- Strong online visibility with a monthly traffic of 25 million unique viewers
- Use Pixmaniaâs highly efficient technological platform (secure transactions, fraud prevention, etc.)
I am quite curious how succesful this initiative will be.
